Located in the great Himalayas, Vaishno Devi Temple holds a very special significance in the Hindu religion and it is believed to be an incarnation of Maa Shakti, Maa Vaishno Devi. It is considered as a combination of the energies of Maha Kali Maha Saraswati and Mahalaxmi. Vaishno Devi Darshan is of a great importance in the Hindu mythology and each year hundreds of thousands of pilgrims come to Vaishno Devi to quench their spiritual thirst and wash away some of their sins. Pilgrims are ready to undertake the excruciatingly hard 12 kilometer Yatra from the base point of the Trikuta Mountains in the Katra to the Vaishno Devi shrine to get a beautiful glimpse of goddess Vaishno Devi.

The cave is located at a height of around 5300 feet and it contains three stones which are also called Pindis, each one depicting goddess Mahalakshmi, Maha Kali and Maha Saraswati.
